Frequently Asked Questions

  1. May I use a check to pay for my registration or sponsorship? Yes, if you are registering online, you may select the check payment option. Check payments should be payable to American Legion Post 179 and dropped off with this form during Post lounge hours, or mailed to American Legion Walton F. Hoffmann Post 179, ATTN: Charity Golf Tournament, 410 W. Coll St., New Braunfels, TX 78130. Payments must be received within two weeks of your online registration and at least one week prior to the tournament (i.e., by September 11, 2026) or registration may be cancelled. 
  2. I didn't buy a Mulligan Package, Drive It Like a Pro Package, or Marshmallow Drive Contest Entry with my registration. Will these be available to purchase at the tournament? Yes, these will be available for purchase on tournanent day. You may also purchase these from our online store in advance of the tournament.
  3. I'd like to name our team, where may I do this? Players may specify their team names using our live scoring app, or at the registration table on tournament day. A link to live scoring will be sent to each team prior to the tournament.
  4. What happens if I'm registered, but can't make the tournament? Because this is a charity fundraising event, we do not offer refunds, but you may transfer your entry to another player. Please email americanlegioncharitygolf@gmail.com with the name and contact info of the player you wish to transfer your registration to. Alternatively, you may donate the registration to a local Veteran.
  5. What happens if it rains on tournament day? It seldom rains, so it's highly unlikely our event will be rained out. But if severe weather does occur, we will notify all registered golfers by 6:30 AM on tournament day. And the event will be moved indoors to Walton F. Hoffmann Memorial Post 179, 410 W. Coll St., New Braunfels, TX 78130, where we will hold a decathlon of golf-themed games in which teams will compete to win the tournament prizes. Additionally, players will still receive breakfast, lunch, and their gift bag. The Door Prize drawing and silent auction will also take place in the Post hall. We promise you'll have a blast rain or shine!
